Manchester United winger Tahith Chong is set to leave Manchester United this summer on loan to Championship club Birmingham City, according to reports
According to journalist Mike McGrath, United are close to finishing the deal between them and the Championship club for Chong for the 21/22 season.
Chong is the latest of the United youth players to go on loan this season, joining Reece Devine who went to St Johnstone in Scotland, and Nathan Bishop, who is going to League 2 club Mansfield Town.
This is the third consecutive transfer window Chong will be sent out on loan having gone to Werder Bremen last summer and again to Club Brugge in January.
With United looking strong in winger depth after agreeing to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, Chong does not seem have a path to first team minutes for this upcoming season.
This will be his first loan move to another English club, so this will help him get adjusted to senior English football which will only benefit him and Manchester United in the long run.
