The latest footages of MUTV revealed that Manchester United defender Raphael Varane trained with the first team ahead of the next Premier League game against Tottenham. The squad joined with the coaching staff yesterday after taking a day off on Monday.
Varane was spotted in the club’s in-house media’s video doing his rondo sessions at Carrington complex with Bruno Fernandes in the middle. All the players looked positive while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave a team talk ahead of the session. Anthony Elanga, United’s academy prospect was also available for the training session ahead of the clash with the North London club. Meanwhile, it can be understood from the video clips that Amad Diallo participated in most of their training drills as well.
The Frenchman had suffered a groin injury while facing Spain in the UEFA Nations League final few weeks back. He had missed pivotal games against Leicester, Atalanta and Liverpool. The presence of the defender in today’s training session will give a boost to Harry Maguire ahead of the next game, as the Englishman has been suffering from a dip in his usual form for the club. Varane’s involvement in the team will encourage Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to win the next game as the Norwegian is facing scrutiny from United’s hierarchy after losing successive games in the Premier League this season.
Manchester United play Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Saturday, 30th October 2021. This game will play an important role in deciding the manager’s future at the club. We should expect some major changes inside the starting eleven ahead of the fixture.
