Player Ratings: Norwich City 0-1 Manchester United

Omar SamhouriBy Omar SamhouriDecember 11, 2021No Comments2 Mins Read

Manchester United have kept two consecutive clean sheets in the league for the first time since march, edging Norwich city 1-0 at Carrow Road. Ralph Rangnick named an unchanged 11 from the side that beat Crystal Palace, but the performance was like something we’ve seen under the previous manager. The Red Devil’s made a slow start and did not get much better afterwards, failing to pose Tim Krul any serious threat. A second half Cristiano Ronaldo penalty and some heroics from David De Gea gave United all 3 points.

    Player Ratings:

1- David De Gea: Unlike the Palace game, United’s number 1 was called upon time and time again today. Made crucial saves to keep them in the game. 8

2- Diogo Dalot: Solid again today. Not afraid to beat his man and put in a cross. 6

3- Victor Lindelof: Found it difficult dealing with Pukki’s physicality but was decent regardless. 6

4- Harry Maguire: Another good game from the skipper. 7

5- Alex Telles: Hit the bar from a freekick in the first half. Provided a decent outlet on the left . 7

6- Scott Mctominay: Much improved today, offering energy and thrust in and out of possession. 8

7-Fred: His fine run of form continues with another good display. Crucial in how RR wants to set up. 7

8- Jadon Sancho: Played more centrally today and was not anything special. Substituted early in the second half. 6

9- Bruno Fernandes: Feels awfully out of place on the wing. Needs to keep it simple. 3

10- Marcus Rashford: Awful again from him today. Bizarrely stayed on until the end of the game. 3

11- Cristiano Ronaldo: Decent half chance in the first half. Won and scored the penalty. Missed a sitter. 6

    Substitutes:

1- Mason Greenwood: Anonymous when he came on. 5

2- Eric Bailly: Almost costed his team a goal but recovered well and made a few key blocks. 6

3- Donny Van De Beek: came on at the end.
