Manchester United’s 29 unbeaten game streak away from home has ended in disastrous fashion as they were convincingly beaten by Leicester City at the King Power stadium. The Red Devils were second best all game long and were outclassed by a Leicester side that have been struggling this season. The pressure on Solksjaer is greater than ever as United’s next run of fixtures will make or break their campaign. Mason Greenwood and the returning Marcus Rashford were the goal scorers for United.
1- David De Gea: The Spaniard sold Harry Maguire a bit short in their first goal but had a decent outing overall. Constantly kept United in the game making save after save. 7
2- Aaron Wan-Bissaka: Manchester United’s best player in the first half, he actually tried to beat a man, but a disastrous second. Made a needless lunge leading to their third goal. Still an offensive liability. 5
3- Harry Maguire: Obviously unfit and rushed into the squad. Made mistake after mistake. A horrible return to the starting 11. Funnily enough, not Manchester United’s worst performer on the night. 2
4- Victor Lindelof: The only member of the back 4 that can leave today’s game with their head high. Played a great ball to Marcus Rashford to make it 2-2. 6
5- Luke Shaw: His slow start to the season continues. 4
6- Nemanja Matic: Really can’t do this for 90 minutes. Couldn’t keep up with Leicester’s energy and pace in midfield. 4
7- Paul Pogba: One of the worst performances from a United player in recent times. 0
8- Mason Greenwood: Scored a stunner to put United up in the first half. Needs to stop wasting chances by taking meaningless shots from the edge of the box every time he gets the ball. 6
9- Jadon Sancho: Still on the fringes of the game. Looks lost at times. 4
10- Bruno Fernandes: Not a great outing for Bruno but got an assist. 5
11- Cristiano Ronaldo: Not his night at all. 4
1- Marcus Rashford: Marked his return from injury with a great strike. 6
2&3- Jesse Lingard and Scott Mctominay: came on late on.
Ole: this feels like the 6-1 against spurs or the 2- 0 against Burnley. Either we go on a run now, or he gets sacked. 0
