Manchester United got a much-needed win after beating Brentford 3-1 in London. After that disappointing collapse at Villa Park, The Red Devils desperately needed to get all three points and were able to do so after second-half goals from Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood, and Marcus Rashford. Unlike what the score-line reflects, the win was anything but a comfortable one as Brentford was the more dangerous side throughout the match. However, being clinical in front of goal and execution in the final third proved to be the difference between the two sides.
1- David De Gea: Kept United in the game with a couple of great saves. Horrendous in the air and on the ball. 6
2- Diogo Dalot: Much better defensively than offensively but still solid overall. 7
3- Victor Lindelof: Shaky in the first half but much improved in the second. 6
4- Raphael Varane: Very solid outing from the Frenchman. Massive in the air too. 7
5- Alex Telles: Poor set-piece delivery but decent at the back. 6
6- Fred: Energetic but lost the midfield battle. 6
7- Scott Mctominay: Man of the match performance from Scott, driving in midfield like prime Yaya Toure. Combative as ever. 8
8- Mason Greenwood: Finally got his goal. 7
9- Anthony Elanga: Really positive display from the Swede. Took his goal exceptionally well. 7
10- Bruno Fernandes: 2 assists and should have had a goal at the end. Regaining his form. 7
11- Cristiano Ronaldo: Hit the crossbar but did not do much else. Furious when taken off. 5
1- Marcus Rashford: Scored a much-needed goal. 7
2- Harry Maguire: Shaky when he came on. 5
3- Nemanja Matic: Substituted late on to hold on to the match.
Ralf Rangnick: Not the best defensive display but got all 3 points. Looked more of a 4-2-3-1 than a 4-3-3 and the same defensive issues showed on the break. Massive decisions to be made for the West Ham game. 7
