Cristiano Ronaldo may be looking to leave Manchester United as early as in the summer, a season after his dramatic return to Old Trafford.
Reports have stated that the 37-year-old’s representatives have already voiced their concerns regarding the club’s decline and will be keen to move on at the end of the season if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
According to 90min, Paris Saint Germain are interested in signing the Portuguese international from Manchester United in the summer.
Ronaldo, who has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season, is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2024 but United are far from assured of a place in next season’s Champions League.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, according to the source, has been fielding enquiries from around the world and one of those has come from Paris Saint-Germain – who want him to see him form an all-star front three alongside Neymar and long-time rival Lionel Messi.
90min also stressed that the Ligue 1 giant owners are keen to bolster their name in football ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this year, and the signing of global superstar Ronaldo would undoubtedly help.
With Kylian Mbappe widely expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid in the summer, a move to PSG could appeal to Ronaldo as his chances of winning major silverware would be very high.
