Manchester United is said to be confident in keeping Paul Pogba beyond this summer.
The French international’s future has been hanging in the balance for quite some time now with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly interested in his services. Paul Pogba was pictured in Manchester United training for the first time since his involvement with French National Team in the Euro 2020 tournament, where they got knocked out by Switzerland.
Now, according to Fabrizio Romano via Twitch live stream, Manchester United is confident in extending the Frenchman’s contract. He also said that the club is working to find an agreement with his agent Mino Raiola.
Telegraph‘s well-respected journalist, Mike McGrath also gave his personal opinion on the situation via the same Twitch channel as covered by theutdjournal saying “I think Paul Pogba will start the season at Manchester United.”
He also went ahead to say that “there was a conversation before the Euros [between Manchester United and Pogba’s representatives]” and that “more are planned soon about a new contract.”
“Pogba hasn’t definitively said no to Manchester United renewal” he continued. McGrath also added that “Pogba is happy with his life in Manchester.”
Whether Paul Pogba will remain at Old Trafford next season or not is yet to be confirmed although the player seemed happy in training. The signing of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane could play a role in his decision. The coming few weeks will be interesting in my opinion.
