Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman is targeting Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek according to a report.
Donny van de Beek has started just two games for United this season and is increasingly becoming frustrated at a lack of playing time.
Ronald Koeman’s managerial experience since his arrival at Barcelona, has been far from enjoyable. Despite regular questions being raised around his future as Barcelona boss, Koeman’s still planning on future transfers as he looks to bolster his midfield.
The former Everton Boss has stressed the importance of Barcelona acquiring additional midfielders to get the best out of their current roster and one of the names, according to Sport ES, that the Dutchman is looking at is Donny van de Beek.
Donny van de Beek would not only be reunited with former teammate and fellow Dutchman Frankie de Jong, but will also still remain at a very big club and be certain to have a lot more game time than he currently is, which isn’t hard considering he spends more time than anyone sitting on United’s bench.
Koeman knows the former Ajax midfielder well having previously worked together with him during his time as the Netherlands national team coach.
