Ajax are considering signing van de Beek back on loan according to a report.
Since Donny joined United from Ajax for £40million in September 2020, he has started just four times in the Premier League and he has been an unused substitute on more than 20 occasions.
The 24-year-old was an unused substitute again in the draw with Everton just days after a touchline incident which saw him throw down his training bib and toss his chewing gum when it became clear he would not be involved in the closing stages of the midweek Champions League win over Villarreal.
Now, according to Journalist Ekrem Konur, Ajax are considering loaning Donny Van De Beek from Manchester United and there are also premier league teams interested in the player.
Solskjaer has started with seven different midfield combinations so far this season but Van de Beek has only appeared in one of United’s six league games – as a substitute against Newcastle – and was prepared to leave the club on loan in the summer.
The Dutchman was reportedly keen on a loan move to Everton in the summer but that fell through because United were not interested in the loan move.
It’s just over two years ago that Van de Beek was scoring away at Juventus and Tottenham, but it must seem like an eternity at the moment. His move to Manchester is yet to work out and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to see how it ever will.
